A summary of this book:

The books focuses on the question of whether God speaks and whether he speaks to you. The voice of God often speaks in a whisper not to make it difficult to hear him but to draw us close. Mark Batterson focused on the 7 love languages of God, each of them unique and divine. He teaches one to tune into God's voice and to decipher each language. He teaches that God actively speaks through: Scripture, Desires, Doors, Dreams, People, Prompting, Pain.

What did you like about the book?

I enjoyed new perspectives. It was a fresh reminder that our God is alive and always speaking but we need to be observant and alert as to how and when He Speaks

What did you not like about this book?

There were a lot of cross references in the book which I wasn't able to always look up and slowed down my momentum quite a bit. Will possibly re-read this book again in the future to pick up on things I previously missed.

Who would benefit most from reading this book?

Someone who is hungry to hear the voice of God and to learn/be reminded of how He speaks to us.

Do you recommend this book?

Yes, without reservation!

If someone reads this book, they should be aware of the following...

He makes a recommendation to the use of Enneagram which I personally would be hesitant to recommend. I have read some mixed reviews on this personality quiz and have personally chosen to avoid it.
