A summary of this book:

Rick warren talks about how every church is driven by something. This book is about growing the church without compromising the message and the mission.

What did you like about the book?

He has some incredible insights, of which many are already used by Oxygen life church and other 4/12 churches.

What did you not like about this book?

My sense is that he has had a lot of criticism, as he does promote seeker sensitive services. He does often defend himself, which comes through in the book.

Who would benefit most from reading this book?

I think anybody who is called to lead a congregation and those who are able to discern between what is healthy and unhealthy.

Do you recommend this book?

Yes, but there are some things you should know...

If someone reads this book, they should be aware of the following...

That a lot of what is in this book is contextual based on where saddleback church is situated in America and a lot of what worked for them, will not necessarily work in a different context, although there are some very good foundations, that can be applied in every church.
