Book sets out to answer the following questions: 1) Is Jesus the only way to salvation? 2) Will anyone experience eternal, conscious torment under God's wrath? 3) Is the work of Jesus necessary for salvation? 4) Is conscious faith in Jesus necessary for Salvation? The thread through the book is how the answer to the above questions impacts how we evangelize and do missionary work. i.e. answering no to any of the above weakens our response to Jesus' mandate to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
I liked the absolute reliance on scripture to answer these questions and the evident desire to reach accurate conclusion in answering each of these questions in the affirmative.
Almost too short. Would liked to have more on salvation in the Old Testament.
Any believer looking for expository teaching on salvation.
John Piper is a well known Calvinist and so that flavour will at times be evident the text. Good to be aware of.
