A summary of this book:

Thoughts for Christians in Crises.

What did you like about the book?

I know Michael personally. He has been a spiritual mentor to me over many years. He has drawn on his vast experience of Christian ministry over the globe & over 50 years, to highlight the many desperate difficulties & disasters & dungeons that believers are subject to, yet, through Christ, are able to overcome. I often wept as I could personally identify with many of the examples quoted. He often pulls one into his own frame of reference by sharing his own vulnerability in times of physical, spiritual, mental & emotional turmoil. Only through Christ, are we able to overcome them!

What did you not like about this book?

I had some question marks about Michael's take on what some have called "the intermediate heaven". I need to do some research on this interpretation of a new new heaven & a new earth. Randy Alcorn speaks of this as "a transitional period between our past lives on earth & our future resurrection life on the new earth" (!?) Page 163.

Who would benefit most from reading this book?

Anyone who has been through deep disappointments & struggles of a personal, physical, emotional or spiritual nature & have wrestled with God for answers. Very helpful indeed!

Do you recommend this book?

Yes, without reservation!

If someone reads this book, they should be aware of the following...

The last chapter: "Heaven - at last!", has a section called "What will heaven mean?". Methinks must research the theme carefully!
