A summary of this book:

This is a book that helps us to deal with inner emotions that RISE up from the depths of our hearts while often finding ourselves unable to understand why it is that we feel the way we do. Angela teaches us biblical truths to help us RECOGNISE where our feelings and emotions come from. If we don't have understanding then we won't know how to find freedom. She then takes us on a journey of REPENTING of looking to others / idols for our comfort, and shows us how to go to the Lord for His washing. Angela teaches us to RENOUNCE these old, sinful patterns of coping and to RECEIVE life directly from the Lord. We need to RENEW our minds from His Word to train and enforce a new way of living. And wisely, Angela shows us that we will have to keep REPEATING this cycle to walk into deeper level of freedom.

What did you like about the book?

The book was laid out according to each step of healing [called the 7Rs].  This made it practical and helped me to never feel lost in the process.  Also, there were many practical examples from her own life and from the lives of people that she has helped through the years.  These testimonies bring the teaching to life.

What did you not like about this book?

Only my wife's name was mentioned in the thank You's, and I was missing.  I'm sure it was a mistake and she will correct it in the 2nd edition.

Who would benefit most from reading this book?

All Christians should read it, because we all have blindspots and the Lord will use this book to reveal false coping mechanisms.  Unbelievers might not understand this book.

Do you recommend this book?

Yes, without reservation!

If someone reads this book, they should be aware of the following...

You can't read it for information.  You need to read it with your own heart in mind.
